In August 1994 a group of Estonian climbers was invited to stay at Zwinglipass-Hütte, a hut of a local section of the Swiss Alpine Club - SAC Toggenburg

Paul's father Paul J. Hilber did his best ensuring everything arranged by his son would actually work during our visit to Switzerland. Along with Peter Diener he met our bus in Wildhaus and spent many hours with us at the hut, acting as a generous host.

Mrs. Marie-Louise Kressibucher was our main host in the hut. On this photo she is with Tanel, the youngest member of the Estonian expedition. Along with her husband she generously supported the joint evening folk-song parties.

Our activities in surrounding mountains were thoroughly prepared by Mr. Peter Diener, our main host from the local SAC section. We got all necessary materials including maps and descriptions of the most popular routes.

This photo of Toggenburg mountains is made by Peter during the following winter.

Mr. Max Seiler, the President of SAC Toggenburg, also visited us at Zwinglipass-Hütte. A SAC T-shirt that was presented to every member of the expedition remains one of the best memoirs of our trip.

Members of the expedition very much appreciate the hospitality experienced during their stay at Zwinglipass-Hütte.

      Thank you!
