Paul Hilber jr. from Wil in Switzerland did his best to make
possible the Estonian expedition to Swiss Alps in summer 1994. Actually it was Paul's idea to organize an invitation for a group of climbers from "Firn" to stay for some days at Zwinglipass-Hütte, a hut of the local section of the Swiss Alpine Club - SAC Toggenburg. This stay was quite useful and enjoyable, the reception was very warm! Participants very much appreciate the contribution of Paul to the success of the expedition. Unfortunately, they were not lucky enough to meet Paul in Switzerland in August'94: on March 30, 1994 he participated in a climb to Grand Combin (4314m, Swiss Alps), which happened to be his last... |
